Company Overview

We are an industry leader servicing and supporting our nation’s critical infrastructure as well as providing an outlet for the recycling of components such as used, damaged and obsolete oil-filled electrical equipment. We are fortunate enough to play a valuable role in protecting our environment in the process.

HISTORY

Trans-Cycle Industries, Inc. opened in 1989 under the ownership of David Laskin to aid electrical utilities, electrical cooperatives, government and military sectors, and other industrial entities in disposal and recycling of used and obsolete electrical equipment. On December 1st of 2006, TCI of Alabama, LLC purchased the facility and business assets from Trans-Cycle Industries, Inc. TCI of Alabama, LLC continues to provide previously existing services, as well as added new services to aid its customers with proper recycling and disposal.

Over the facility’s lifetime, our experienced staff has provided outstanding service and reduced customer liability, saving our customers time and money so they can stay focused on what they do best.

OUR FACILITY

We are situated on approximately 15 acres in Cogswell Industrial Park, Pell City, Alabama. The facility has approximately 60,000 sq. ft. of fully lined and contained space to process customer items. 19,000 sq. ft. of the space is compartmentalized and has steel plating to allow processing of equipment that contains high levels of PCB. Also included in this space is 2,000 sq. ft. to process lead-shielded cable. Over the time of operation, TCI has earned a stellar reputation in customer service, and has an unparalleled record of environmental compliance. We are fully permitted by the EPA and ADEM.
